Interview Story Map

Creava Editorial$24 USD

A research and editing companion for creator profiles, customer stories and short documentaries. Organize questions around concrete moments rather than broad praise, then index what was actually said against the story you are trying to tell. The framework leaves room for an unexpected answer to change your direction.

Inside the scope

  • Pre-interview research sheet
  • Question families with follow-up prompts
  • Recording logistics checklist
  • Transcript excerpt index
  • Story assembly worksheet
Follow-up prompts: What happened immediately before that? What did you notice? What did you try next? Can you describe one specific example? What would someone misunderstand from this excerpt alone?

Compatibility & delivery

Editable text and CSV. No recording, transcription or automated analysis service is included.

Research and story-organization materials; the interviewer is responsible for consent and accurate representation.

This page provides scope information and a text preview. Listed files or individual review sessions are not automatically delivered by saving a selection.

PRODUCT IN CONTEXT / CREAVA EDITORIAL

A closer look at the fit.

A working situation

For an interview about a changed design decision, prepare known facts and neutral prompts before recording. Index passages by the original problem, the attempted solution and what remained uncertain. Build a sequence from those supported moments, then compare every shortened excerpt with its source before preparing the final story.

How do I index an excerpt without losing its qualification?

Record its timecode, topic and the surrounding condition that affects meaning. Keep enough context to return to the complete answer, especially when a sentence contains words such as sometimes or in this test. Use the story worksheet to plan structure without replacing the source recording as the authority.

Will the kit transcribe or analyse my recording?

No. It provides research, question, index and assembly structures in text and CSV. Recording, transcription and automated analysis are not included. Prepare a permitted transcript or timecoded listening notes yourself, and avoid uploading sensitive interview material into unapproved tools.

Planning film and interview work

Are footage, music or recorded interviews included?

No. These products contain original planning documents and exercises. You supply or arrange the recordings and confirm the rights and permissions needed for any music, images or other material used in the finished work.

Which tool should I start with for an interview-led film?

Use the Interview Story Map to prepare questions and index what the conversation supports. Use the Film Treatment Notebook to turn that material into a visual and sound sequence. The tools cover related but different parts of the process.

Will the transcript index generate a transcript?

No. It organizes an existing transcript or your own timecoded notes. Check excerpts against the original recording, especially when shortening them could remove a qualification or change the speaker's meaning.
