A working situation

For a small clasp accessory, capture a clear cover view, the fastening open and closed, a surface detail and an understandable scale reference. Keep the background and window setup consistent, and note any card used to define a reflective edge. Select the set for descriptive coverage rather than choosing only the most dramatic highlights.

What should I change first when a reflection hides the label?

Keep the camera stable and compare a slight object rotation or a changed card position before altering several settings at once. Record which adjustment moved the reflection and whether another detail became worse. The worksheet helps isolate a useful setup; it does not operate the camera or supply lighting equipment.

Why does the planner ask for five different views?

A cover, side, fastening, detail and scale view answer different inspection questions. Adapt those roles to the actual object rather than taking five nearly identical attractive angles. Check that the set remains consistent in material appearance and that every included image adds useful information.

Photography and color materials

Are the Color Recipes downloadable Lightroom presets or LUTs?

They are written adjustment recipes and comparison exercises, not XMP, DNG or LUT files. The description deliberately distinguishes a manual starting approach from an application preset that can be installed.

Can I use the shot planner with a phone?

Yes. The planning exercises focus on light, subject position, reflection control and a useful image sequence. Use the camera controls available on your phone and review the results at the size where the images will be published.

Does the Texture Direction Workbook include texture images?

No. It contains observation prompts, comparison exercises and a structure for annotating references. Any photographs, scanned materials or third-party references you add need their own appropriate permissions.
